LAMBOURDÉ is a quick-application system designed for low-thickness insulation and building renovations.

It is used for mechanical attachment to floors or walls, providing excellent thermal and acoustic insulation under wood or plasterboard finishes.

The material is 100% natural and has unparalleled thermal and acoustic properties. Its flush-mounted strips make it easy to install and provide mechanical stability.

It performs well in a very wide temperature range from -180°C to 120°C. At very high temperatures, it does not emit toxic substances such as carbon dioxide. The product's overall density is approximately 110 kg/m³. Its fire reaction class is designated as E in the European specification. Sound absorption can reach up to 59 dB using this product. Thanks to this Portuguese solution, the strips embedded in cork allow for the installation of both plasterboard and OSB boards.

Lambourde expanded cork boards are a modern and completely natural insulating material used in ecological construction. They are produced from cork oak bark without the addition of synthetic glues or chemical binders. The production process uses only high temperature and pressure, allowing the cork granules to self-bond. This material is 100% renewable and environmentally friendly.

Lambourde boards are characterized by excellent thermal insulation properties, effectively reducing heat loss in winter and overheating in summer. Thanks to their structure, they also possess excellent acoustic properties. Expanded cork dampens impact and airborne sounds, improving the comfort of building occupants. These boards are resistant to moisture and do not lose their properties when exposed to water vapor.

They do not support mold or fungi, making them safe for allergy sufferers. Lambourde is a vapor-permeable material, allowing walls to breathe. At the same time, it provides an effective barrier against thermal energy loss. Cork boards are durable and retain their properties for decades. They are resistant to biological degradation and decay. Their natural structure makes them flexible and resistant to deformation.

Installing Lambourde boards is relatively simple and requires no specialized tools. They can be used in walls, roofs, and floors. They are suitable for both single-family homes and public buildings. Expanded cork boards have a distinctive dark brown color and uniform structure. Their slightly rough surface facilitates the adhesion of plasters and adhesives. This material exhibits high fire resistance and does not emit toxic substances during combustion. In the event of a fire, it chars on the surface, limiting the spread of flames.

Lambourde contributes to improving the energy efficiency of buildings. Thanks to its natural origin, it does not burden the environment during production and disposal. The cork is harvested without felling trees, contributing to ecological sustainability. The boards are lightweight, facilitating transport and installation on the construction site. Their density also ensures adequate structural stability. Lambourde is valued by architects designing passive and energy-efficient homes. This material perfectly aligns with the concept of sustainable construction.
